No parent attendance requirement
60 minute lessons with Keyboard/active areas of instruction
Deeper instruction on:
- How to practice
- Keyboard Skills- correct technique, phrasing, damper pedal
- Melody- Ear training, sight singing, improvisation
- Harmony- Intervals, chord progressions, ensemble playing
- Rhythm- 2/4, 3/8, 6/8 time signatures, Triplets
- Staff Reading- 7th chords, ledger lines, sight reading
- Key Relationships- Key signatures, circle of 5ths, Major/minor
- Music terms, symbols- Ties/slurs, ritardando, Roman Numerals
- Music history- Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Contemporary
